Council won’t purchasing more testing kits as the Government has extended the free test kit period (from pharmacies) through to the end of June this year. This means people can go to a pharmacy for a test kit. Under government guidelines, there is also no testing or reporting requirement for workplaces and therefore tests are for personal diagnostic use only. As Auckland Council won’t do anything different with a positive result, there is no need to test.

The advice regarding Covid (or any illness for that sake) is for people to stay home, get well and isolate where they can and avoid whatever they have (if it’s viral / contagious) from spreading and taking a common sense approach.

Test kits are not to be purchased on a Pcard and no longer available through DSF.
